Mission: Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities.
Vision: One day every child will have the essentials they need to feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued.
Holiday Winter Clothing Drive 2024: Gear Up For Winter with Cradles To Crayons
We are supporting Cradles To Crayons in their efforts to distribute 50,000 coats, 30,000 clothing packages, and 19,000 winter accessories to children this winter through our winter gear clothing drive throughout the months of November and December.
Cradles to Crayons is an organization dedicated to ending clothing insecurity for children. 1 in 2 children in Chicagoland are at risk of clothing insecurity and without access to winter essentials. Children are less able to regulate their body temperature compared to adults. As a result, children are more likely to develop significant health effects when they are exposed to environmental temperature extremes.
We are collecting NEW winter coats, boots, gloves, hats, and scarves (sizes 0-3 mos up to adult medium) throughout November and December. Bring them to service and place them in the Cradles To Crayons donation box.
