Refugee Service Center Donation Drive 2026: Meet the need!
The Refugee Support Center is facing an influx of refugees fleeing less welcoming cities and the imminent closure of a family shelter that houses refugees. They are in need of all of the basic items needed to furnish an apartment: bedding, kitchen and bath items, curtains, and small appliances. The following list of needed items is also posted at Cityside by the collection box.
- Comforters (bed sized, not throws, synthetic not down)
- Pots and pans (if Teflon, new only)
- Silverware sets
- Cooking utensils, chef’s knives (Walmart has inexpensive ones)
- Dinner (not small) sized plates
- Large soup bowls
- Sheets sets (marked by size)
- Shower curtains, shower curtain clips, bath mats
- Towels (full size)
- Curtains (non sheer)
- Clean rugs
- Garbage pails
- Brooms/mops
- Small kitchen appliances (blenders, coffee makers, air fryers, Instant Pots (NO slow cookers or toaster ovens)
- Microwaves (contact Rev Judy if donating these at revjudy@cityside.me)
Items can be gently used (very good shape), freshly cleaned or new
