The Frequency of Forgiveness – Rev. Rod Norton

This recording features the Sunday Talk portion of the service. For the full service watch here.

DESCRIPTION

Forgiveness is more than a moment—it’s a vibration of divine love that restores harmony to the soul. Forgiveness isn’t complete until it’s integrated into your consciousness, and you are living it. When we live in the frequency of forgiveness, we move beyond blame and separation, aligning ourselves with the flow of grace and spiritual power. We are being called to shift our energy, release old patterns, and embody forgiveness as a way of being that radiates healing into the world.

SUMMARY

This talk explores the concept of living in the frequency of forgiveness. The key points are:

– Forgiveness is more than just a moment, it is a vibration of divine love that restores harmony to the soul. True forgiveness is a state of consciousness and a way of being that aligns us with divine love.

– Integration is the vital step of truly embodying forgiveness, where our intellectual understanding becomes lived transformation. When forgiveness is integrated, it becomes our natural state and we no longer have to try to forgive.

– Living in the frequency of forgiveness means seeing the perfection and divinity in ourselves and others. This allows us to become a healing presence that radiates peace and lifts others up.

– The world needs us to operate on this higher frequency of forgiveness and integration so that it can experience healing and peace. Choosing to live in this state of consciousness is a personal responsibility that can help transform ourselves and the world around us.

Rev. Roderick Norton:

Good morning, wonderful people of Cityside. How are you doing on this? Beautiful morning. Morning. Good, good. What a powerful song. What a powerful song when you forgive. So when you set yourself free, you set yourself free. Who’s looking to be free? That’s all of us, right? We’re all looking to be free. We’re all looking to be free. I want to explore something with you this morning. I want to explore with you the topic of living in the frequency of forgiveness. I know you’ve been working with radical forgiveness this month, and I truly hope that some healings have been occurring. I truly hope that you are in the process of healing if you need to be healed.

One of the things about studying truth principles is that at some point you’re going to be required to live and embody these principles. You’re going to be required to live and to embody these principles and have some what we call prove me. Now experiences. Have you ever had a prove me experience in life? See, because life always gives us opportunities to practice forgiveness. Nobody can get out of life without at least having the opportunity to practice forgiveness. The key word here though is opportunity, because that doesn’t mean that you took advantage of it. We’ve all had opportunities to practice forgiveness, but believe it or not, everyone doesn’t take advantage of practicing forgiveness. Do you know anyone that went to their grave? Not forgiving?

Yeah, yeah. Some people just cannot bring themselves to that process of forgiving, so they’re holding onto that bondage. They did not take the advantage of the opportunity, even though the opportunity presented themselves, and guess what? The opportunity always presents itself. The opportunity presents itself on a daily basis. It’s just a matter of do I want to take, do I want to participate in this opportunity that the universe has given me? Do I want to participate in this opportunity that the universe has given me this opportunity to free myself of this situation, the opportunity to free myself of this individual, the opportunity for me to live the better life that I was created to live the opportunity. So over the past few weeks, you have gone over various stages of forgiveness, right? So I don’t want to rehash too much, but I want to take us to a very important stage or area of the forgiveness process today called integration.

Integration. Living in the frequency of forgiveness is really about what tipping refers to in the book as integration. Integration is that vital step of truly embodying forgiveness is where our intellectual understanding concerning forgiveness now becomes lived transformation. You see everything that we are doing, the reason that we come here on a weekly basis, the reason that we take classes and do the seminars and do the workshops here at Cityside throughout the year on a weekly basis throughout the week. The reason we do it is because we want to live this what transformation, right? It is not just a matter of us coming here and learning principle, but it’s also a matter of us learning the principle, applying the principle so that we can live the transform lives that we’re all seeking and some of us are seeking to live, transform lives in our relationships. Some of us are seeking to live, transform lives maybe in our finances.

Some of us are looking to live, transform lives in our communities, but we’re all looking to live some type of transformed life, and that’s why we come here so that we can get the tools, we can get the principles and get this also so that we can be around like-minded people because that helps us on our journey, knowing that there are other people out there that are also looking to make this world better. There’s also people out there looking to better themselves, just like I’m looking to better myself. So forgiveness is more than just a moment, is a vibration of divine love that restores harmony to the soul. Tipping explains it this way, tipping explains it. He says that forgiveness isn’t complete until it is integrated into your consciousness, meaning you move from simply knowing the principles to actually feeling and living them. Integration happens when you accept that everything, even what once seemed hurtful, has served a divine purpose in your awakening. That’s a lot right there.

But he said it does not become real until it’s integrated into your consciousness, until you actually begin to feel it and begin to live in until you begin to actually practice it, until you actually begin to become one with it. The things that have happened to us in life, the hurt situations that we might’ve gone through, the things that have happened to us in life, it has served as an awakening for us. It is served as an awakening for us. We are not to continue to live hurtful life, but understand that this thing that has happened to me, has allowed me to awaken, has allowed me to awaken so that I can put myself in the process of forgiveness so I can put myself in the process because maybe somewhere along the way I have forgotten who I am because one of the primary causes of a suffering is forgetfulness of our divine nature. And when we have forgotten our divine nature, then sometimes we get caught up in a whole lot of other stuff. So the shift that tipping talks about the shift, it allows your old emotional energy to be released when you begin to shift. You begin this integration where you begin to live forgiveness, where you begin to feel it within your soul when you begin to embody it, he says, the ship allows your old emotional energy to be released.

We cannot continue to carry around this old energy. When you begin the ship, you got to do what? You got to release that old energy because if you hold onto that old energy, all you’re doing is set yourself up to receive the vibrational match for that energy. So it’s important for us during the shift. It allows us to release old emotional energy. It allows your perception to change how I look at life, how I look at a situation and how I even look at myself. And it allows your vibration to rise. It allows your vibration to rise to want a peace. It allows your vibration to rise to one of love. It allows your vibration to rise to one of empowerment. Once I begin this process of integration of forgiveness, it’s no longer just a moment.

So true forgiveness is not just an act, but it’s a state of consciousness is a way of being that aligns us with divine love and frees us from the illusions of separation and suffering. So when forgiveness is integrated, when we are putting ourselves into this frequency, when forgiveness is integrated, it becomes the frequency we live from. So we want to live from this frequency. Now as we begin to integrate forgiveness in the Bible, one of Jesus’s disciples, Peter came up to Jesus and said, Lord, if my brother or sister sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times. Jesus said to him, not seven times, but I tell you 70 times, and some version says seven times 70.

But the main point here that has been expressed is that you forgive as often and as long as you need to until you reached a point where that unforgiveness is no longer part of your soul consciousness until you have released whatever it is that you’ve been holding onto that have been preventing you from being your authentic, real, spiritual self. So it’s not a matter of numbers, it’s not a matter of 77 or not a matter of 490. It’s not a matter of numbers that’s just symbolic. But I have to work with myself as long and as often as I need to until I release whatever it is that my soul consciousness is holding on to because I’m looking to free. I’m looking to free my soul consciousness so that I can live the life that is free and that was destined for me to live. So this idea of integration and living in the frequency of forgiveness, forgiveness as we practice integration, as we begin to integrate, forgiveness becomes our natural state. We no longer have to try. We’re working on ourselves in integration in this area of integration and living from this frequency. I no longer have to try to forgive you. I no longer have to try to forgive myself.

I just am now. I just am now. It’s no longer something that you do. It’s who you are. It’s who you are. I no longer have to forgive you because I don’t see any sin any longer in you, any longer in you nor in myself, and sin is just simply error. I no longer see you, nor do I see myself. You see, get this, get this. The first person I work on is not you. The first person I work on is myself. So when I can begin to release whatever perception I’m holding onto, when I begin to release whatever anger I’m holding onto, whenever I begin to release whatever is causing my soul not to be free, when I begin to release that, I see you differently at that point, then I’m able to say, I behold your divinity because I’m truly able to behold the divinity within myself. Now I’m must stay.

I see the divine in you. I see the Christ in you. I see that which is real in you, and the only way I can see that which is real in you. The only way that I’m able to see the divine in you is because I have first recognized the divine or my own divinity, and because I have recognized that for myself, I’m able to now share it with the world. So living in the frequency of forgiveness, it becomes our natural state. That’s how we were created. That’s how we were created. We were not created to walk around full of hatred or anger or anything that’s separating us from our oneness. We were not created that way. We were created out of love. That’s get the love is our natural vibration.

Now, some things might have happened to us in life where we begin to hide that we begin to cover it up. We began to forget that once again. I’m going to go back a little. Our primary cause of suffering or the primary cause of suffering is just simply us forgetting our divine nature. I forgot I’m supposed to love you because I forgot that I was supposed to love myself. I forgot that I was supposed to show up as peace, love, compassion. I forgot that’s how I was created, and because I have forgotten that I am holding myself in bondage and I’m also holding you in bondage in my mind.

So I got to forgive myself so I can free myself integration and integration and living the frequency of forgiveness and this idea of integration. We embody wholeness, we embody peace, we embody compassion in daily life is how we show up and maybe at the beginning of the day, maybe we need to ask ourselves, how am I showing up today to make sure that sure that we are in the right space before we even begin our day? And then maybe at the end of the day, maybe we need to ask ourselves the question, how did I show up today? How did I show up today?

How did I perceive myself showing up? And how do I think other people might’ve perceived me showing up? Did I show up as love? Did I show up as peace? Did I show up as compassion? Did I show up as living forgiveness? How did I show up today? But get this, even if the answer that you give yourself is not the answer that you wanted to give yourself, you still have an opportunity to still make the shift. Okay, I didn’t show up the way. Maybe I started the day off and maybe something happened at the middle of the day, and maybe I did not necessarily show up or express forgiveness the way that I wanted to express or should have expressed forgiveness. But let me not go to bed tonight without forgiving myself.

It’s part of us working on this integration. We just want to get to a point where we just simply show up and we don’t even have to think about loving. We don’t even have to think about forgiving. We don’t even have to think about any of that. We just show up and it just oozes out of us. It just flows out of us. It’s just our natural state. It’s just our natural state of being. And people then begin to ask, what happened to you? Whatever’s coming from you, I want some of that, whatever’s coming from you, I want to experience some of that because that what’s coming from you is healing.

It’s causing the shift in the universe. It’s causing a shift in the people around you, and people will become hungry for that. People will become hungry for that. Me personally, I’m attracted to people as an aura, a peace. Let me say it like that. I don’t really care for being around a lot of chaos. I don’t really care for being around people that just simply don’t want to forgive and prefer to dwell in anger, prefer to dwell in hate, prefer to dwell in chaos. You see, when I show up, and that might be the situation in the atmosphere at that time when I show up, my responsibility is to show up as love, my responsibility to show up as this integrated being, living from a frequency of forgiveness so that the energy that comes from me, maybe it will heal someone in that space that needs healing. My job is not to be a part of that. My job is to, if possible, is to heal That situation, is to heal that environment because that environment is screaming out really for healing. That environment really is screaming out that something needs to shift. Something needs to change. So I might or you might be that individual that the universe is calling for, and that’s why it’s so important for us to work on getting to that frequency of forgiveness where it’s not something that I’m struggling with in my mind.

I’m just showing up the way I was created. I’m just showing up and doing that which I’m supposed to do. I’m just showing up as my authentic self. I want you to affirm something with me. See, I live forgiveness. I live live forgiveness. I radiate light. I radiate light. And my life and my life mirrors divine harmony, mirrors divine harmony. I live forgiveness. I radiate light, and my life mirrors divine harmony. I live forgiveness. I radiate light, and my life mirrors divine harmony. I live forgiveness. If there are dark spaces and I walk in the dark space, I radiate light and my life mirrors divine harmony.

So tipping says forgiveness is a journey, and it always begins from a place of no forgiveness. He says, getting there can take years or minutes, and we know now that this is a match of choice. When I read that, I’m like, wow. He said, it could take years or minutes, but the wow part was this is a matter of choice. It can happen just like that or it can be a prolonged journey. But he said it is a matter of choice. He says, traditional forgiveness takes a long time. He says, but we can do it quickly through radical forgiveness, simply by expressing our willingness to see the perfection. He says, after we have allowed ourselves to be willing to see the perfection in the situation and turn our stories into ones of gratitude, we integrate this new consciousness or change at the cellular level. That means integrating it into the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies so that it becomes a part of who we are.

So right now, he says it’s a matter of shifting. Am I willing to see the perfection in the universe? Am I willing to see the perfection in other people? Am I willing to see the perfection in myself? It’s a matter of shifting. It can happen in minutes or seconds, or it can happen in years, but it’s my choice. It’s my choice. Since it is my choice, I don’t like to drag anything off longer than it needs to be drug out. So since it’s my choice, I’d rather it happen in seconds as opposed to years since it’s my choice. I’d rather experience my freedom now as opposed to waiting 5, 10, 20 years from now to experience freedom since it is my choice. I’d rather this integration of forgiveness. I’d rather this integration to happen right now on the cellular level. I’m looking for it to happen right now in my mind, in my soul, in all of my affairs. I’m looking forward to happen right now since it is my choice.

When forgiveness is integrated, you become a healing presence. Your very vibration lift others and you radiate peace without even speaking a word. I consider. Sometimes there’s just people you want to be around. Sometimes you just want to be around people like Amy, like Reverend Amy, and then just be able to feel some peaceful vibration without even speaking a word. Sometimes when I drive and I’m driving home from my service, and sometimes I have individuals in my car that I will drop off and they have come to learn to know me, that after I’m speaking that I like to just get in my car and I don’t need a word to be said, I don’t need no music to be played.

Sometimes without a word being said, you can express peace. Sometimes without a word being said, your vibration can lift up others. Sometimes while the word being said, a shift can happen. The world needs us. As I prepare to close, the world needs us to radiate and operate on this frequency so that it will know that it has a chance as well. The world needs us to operate on this higher vibration, this higher frequency of forgiveness, so that it will know that it has a chance as well. Raising our vibration must include joining in prayer for peace with as many people as possible from around the world involved and embracing rather for forgiveness as nothing less than a permanent way of life. This is the way we live.

Choose today to live in the frequency of forgiveness. Let every breath, let every thought, let every action you take. Let it radiate grace. As you integrate forgiveness into your consciousness, you become a beacon of healing for yourself, for others, and for the world. The world needs us. The world needs radical forgiveness. The world needs to see us as having integrated radical forgiveness in our life. If I show up as chaos, then that does not help the world, and it doesn’t help me. If I show up as an unforgiving person that does not help to facilitate peace in the world, that does not help to facilitate healing. The world needs to be healed right now. The world needs to experience peace right now. The world needs compassion right now. So I have a personal responsibility to show up as this higher frequency of forgiveness. I have a responsibility right now to begin to integrate into my life this whole concept of forgiveness. I don’t have time to be thinking whether I should forgive someone or not. I don’t have time to be thinking whether I should be hating someone or not. I don’t have time to be thinking. My only thought should be, I am a child of the universe. I am divine, and everything about me and everything that radiates from me is an expression of this divinity.

That’s how I need to show up. That’s the frequency that I need to live on, and if I can live on that frequency, at least I know for myself that I’m doing my part to make myself better and to make the world better. Let’s turn with that for a moment. As you turn within right now, I just want you to know for yourself, and I want you to feel for yourself, this authentic part of you that just simply is a vibration of love. There’s nothing to forgive. There’s nothing to forgive. There’s nothing to forgive. There’s nothing to heal. When we begin to integrate ourselves, the frequency of forgiveness, because we see everything as perfect, we see everything through our authentic selves and our authentic eyes.

It is through living through the frequency of forgiveness. As we integrate ourselves on a conscious level, that’s one with the universe and one with each other. The universe just simply waiting for us to make the choice and to say, yes, yes, I will be my true self. Yes, I will be a vibration of love. Yes, I will be a vibration of peace. Yes, I will be a vibrational match for the good of the universe. Yes, because I was created out of this vibration, and that is my true place. That’s my one place, and that is the place where I need to stay in consciousness.

I can help heal the world by making sure that I’m healed. My thoughts are healed, my feelings are healed, my actions are healed, and I’m just in the frequency of oneness, am just in the frequency of oneness. All that is good. I am all that is love. I am all that is peace. I am all that divine is. There is no separation for today. Let’s remember that we are one with the divine today. Let’s remember our spiritual nature today. Let’s remember our spiritual responsibilities today. Let’s live from radical forgiveness. Today is the day where the shift happens, and so it’s amen.
