IN-SPIRIT LIVING

In-Spirit Living should be our ultimate goal for it reflects our connection to our Source and that we are proceeding on our path of purpose. With In-Spirit Living we become an inspiration to ourselves and others. Yet, we have an ego that can cause us to have serious blockage. Join us on Sunday as we discuss the impact caused by our creation, the ego, and the “how” of In-Spirit Living.

Guilt and shame stem from the belief in separation which generates negative thoughts and behaviors that further perpetuate that sense of separation. By forgiving ourselves and others for perceived wrongdoings, we release the cycle of guilt and shame and open ourselves up to a state of innocence and love. Explore the return to innocence.

Love of Fear and the Fear of Love

Most of the time we all experience love as an outcome, as the result of something happening or not happening. This is a love at the understanding of our human selves, however, there is a love of our spiritual selves that the human understanding yearns for. This is the unconditional, forgiving, kind, accepting, patient love that we read about in stories, movies or other peoples experiences, BUT it is here and now in your very life, it only needs your willing attention to look for it, to practice this love. The challenge is most of the world is mad! Instead of loving love, we have a love of fear and a fear of love. Let’s explore loving love.

Releasing the Empty Power of the Victim

Most human love is conditional. Yes there are moments we experience a freedom in love, however, if we are really honest with ourselves we can recognize that the love we were taught and most of the love we have given or received was conditional. Faith Precedes Love

There is no substitute for “Real Love” yet many of us continue to struggle through relationships with “Imitation Love”. The Path To Real Love

Our experience of them is filtered through all of our life experiences. Join us this Sunday as we begin to explore what Real Love is and how to create a Path within ourselves to experience greater love for self and others.

The Power Of Love In Community

There is a power, a resonance when people gather together in community.
Here at Cityside we feel the power of that love during our Sunday services
and in our classes and small group encounters. Join us as we discuss the
power of this love and our proposed Community of Care, which will provide
us a way to offer and receive help from our fellow community members. We
will also begin the conversation about how we can be available to others
who are going through mental health challenges that could include
thoughts of suicide, which will be continued after service by the Hope For
The Day organization as they present The Things We Don’t Say
educational program. We hope to see you for both.
“The jewel of community, the Sangha, is to be held equal to the the Buddha
and the Dharma. Indeed, the whole of the holy life is fulfilled through
spiritual friendship.”
