Walking Each Other Home: Grief Support Group/Book Study

Are you looking for spiritual support to help you deal with grief? The death of a beloved family member, partner, friend, or pet,  the loss of a job or one’s health, or certain abilities due to injury or disability. Grief comes in many forms and can be difficult to manage on your own. Discovering new tools, shared practice and community can provide an opportunity to step further into healing.

If you would like to be a part of a group to support you in your grieving process, our Walking Each Other Home online group is starting up again in March. We will begin by studying the book, The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller. His book is described as a lyrical handbook for mastering the art of grieving. “Weller highlights the intimate bond between grief and gratitude, sorrow and intimacy. He shows that the greatest gifts are often hidden in the things we avoid, and offers powerful tools and rituals to help us transform grief into a force that allows us to live and love more fully.” Weller examines many types of grief that he refers to as the Five Gates of Grief, including places within ourselves that have never known love.

Our first meeting will be on Saturday, March 9. This will be an informational meeting where you can ask questions and learn about how we will be approaching the subject of grief. We will begin our book study on Saturday, April 6.
